Tyler Hodgson is the Executive Vice President of Growth at UMortgage and was the Founder & President of NXT Mortgage. Prior to his time in the mortgage industry, Tyler served for four years in the United States Marine Corps. Following his service for our nation, Tyler entered the finance realm, earning his license as a Certified Public Accountant.
In late 2016, Tyler founded NXT Mortgage—a Dallas-area brokerage built to benefit its loan originators and their borrowers with more favorable pricing, transparent leadership, and innovative practices. Having developed a team that provides an industry-leading customer experience, NXT became the #1 brokerage in the state of Texas. This success and record-breaking growth was recognized by leading business publications with 3x highly ranked spots on the INC 5000 list for most successful private companies in the nation in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
With an aligned vision for the future of loan origination, NXT merged with UMortgage in 2022 and appointed Tyler as Executive Vice President of Growth. Those same growth strategies have welcomed an immediate and continued impact to UMortgage’s platform.
Outside of the office, Tyler enjoys his spare time with his wife and daughter. He’s an avid runner and has been spotted serving aces on the beach volleyball court. He’s incredibly passionate about coaching others and inspiring individuals to reach their full potential.

Wade emphasizes listening to borrowers’ desires and asking the right mortgage planning questions. We must craft mortgage solutions aligning with our client’s overall financial strategies, helping them achieve their short-term and long-term financial aspirations.” Born and raised in New Orleans, Wade came to Dallas in 1997 and attended Southern Methodist University (Pony Up!), earning a bachelor’s degree in economics.
